About the Cricket Wireless subscription from Amazon

When you’re shopping for great phones and great wireless service, the Cricket Wireless subscription from Amazon combines the best of both worlds. Simply purchase a device with a stored value card subscription redeemable towards a Cricket subscription (includes SIM card and rate plan). You will make recurring payments through  amazon.com/yourmembershipsandsubscriptions.
Switching between existing Cricket plans and the Cricket Wireless subscription from Amazon is not supported at this time.
Unfortunately, Cricket Protect is not currently available if you purchase a Cricket Wireless subscription from Amazon. Please check with Amazon or the device manufacturer for any available warranty options.
Currently, there is no way to add or remove additional Cricket features with the Cricket Wireless subscription from Amazon.
Cricket Wireless subscriptions sold by Amazon will restrict shipping SIM cards to only the 50 states plus Washington, D.C.

Transfer Your Number

You should have the following information available:
  • Phone number you would like to transfer to Cricket
  • Account number (from your current carrier)
  • PIN/Password (from your current carrier)
  • Last 4 digits of SSN
  • Zip Code (what is listed on your current carrier account)
If you have an eligible number and have requested a transfer, we'll transfer your number to Cricket when you activate your service. During this process, you may be able to make outgoing calls with your new service but may continue to receive calls on your old service. This could last up to 4 hours. Text, picture, and video messages usually work within 4 hours but may take up to 8 hours for service availability. Access to data should occur immediately upon activation.
Your number can’t be transferred if you have already canceled your service with your previous provider or if your number is ineligible for transfer. But you can still join the Cricket network by purchasing an Amazon subscription. You just need to select a new Cricket number during the Breeze-Thru activation process.
Don’t worry! You will receive an email with directions on how to resolve the issue (don’t forget to check your spam box). If you’re still experiencing issues, call Cricket Customer Support at 1-855-619-6021 and provide them with your phone number and your Amazon subscription.

Activating Your Service

Now that you have your SIM card, follow these simple steps to activate your device:
  1. Insert the SIM card.
  2. Power on your device and complete device setup.
  3. Connect to Cricket’s cellular network. Next, you’ll receive a text message. It can take up to two minutes to receive the message after the phone is recognized by the network. 
  4. Click the link in the text message and follow the steps in the Cricket Breeze-Thru to activate.
  5. If you have any issues with your high-speed data access, check your carrier settings (APN settings). 
If you’re experiencing issues activating your phone, try these troubleshooting tips:
  1. Make sure your SIM card is in your phone, and you’re connected to Cricket’s cellular network.
  2. Check your phone to see if you have received the activation text message (it can take up to two minutes to receive the message). The link in your text message will walk you through the activation process.
  3. If you’re only able to connect to Wi-Fi, go to amzactivation.cricketwireless.com.
  4. If you have any issues after activation, restart your phone.
  5. If you have any issues with your high-speed data access, check your carrier settings (APN settings).

Yes. To activate the subscription, you will need to use the Cricket SIM card sent by Amazon. If you need to replace your SIM card, call Amazon support at 1-888-282-9037 for a replacement.
Now that you have your SIM card, follow one of the below options to activate your device: Option 1
  1. Insert the SIM card.
  2. Power on the device and complete the device setup.
  3. Connect to Cricket’s cellular network. Next, you’ll receive a text message. It can take up to two minutes to receive the message after the phone is recognized by the network.

Option 2
  1. Insert the SIM card.

  3. Device will be live and you’ll receive two (2) text messages.
  4. Click on the link in the second text message and complete the steps to set up your account.

Managing Your Account

Your payment is due on your due date, which is the same date each month. If no payment is received, your service will be suspended. You will have up to 60 days to re-subscribe to your subscription within your Amazon account to keep your same number.
Unfortunately, you will be unable to access your account details from Cricket’s website or app. You will manage your subscription details on Amazon.com.
