What you should know before changing your number
Please be aware:
- Your account must be active.
- You may not change to a vanity or toll-free number.
- You will be charged a $15 number change fee. This does not apply to new customers who transfer a number from another carrier at the time of activation.
What Should I Expect?
When you request to change your number, the change will take place immediately. Your saved voicemails and greetings will be deleted. So you’ll want to listen to your messages in advance. Once you receive your new number, you can create your new voicemail greeting.
Remember to share your new number with family and friends. If they dial your old number, they’ll hear the following message: "The number you dialed is not a working number. Please check the number and dial again."
