Learn about Mobile Devices and Global Positioning Systems (GPS)

Heads up! Changes may be coming to your cell phone.

On November 4, 2019, hardware limitations for certain mobile devices will cause the Global Positioning Systems (GPS) functionality to stop working properly on those devices. While this won't affect your ability to make calls, send texts, or use data, location reporting info used for calls to 911 will revert to older location technologies that may not be as accurate. But, don’t worry. We’re here to help!

What to do: If you received notification that your device is affected, you may choose to upgrade to a newer device by visiting your nearest Cricket store, shopping new devices or calling us at 1-800-CRICKET (274-2538) or 611 from your Cricket mobile device.
