Payment Due Dates

Here are a few things to keep in mind when making your Cricket payment:

  • Your first monthly billing cycle begins on the day that you activate service. Your billing cycle will start on the same date each month. To avoid service interruptions, your payment is due before your next bill cycle begins. (See exceptions below.)
  • For example, if you activate on the 14th, your billing cycle will always begin on the 14th. This means your due date will always fall on the 13th.

When is my payment due?

Your payment is due on your due date, which is the same date each month.

July 14: service activated, 1st billing cycle begins; August 13th: due date; August 14th: 2nd billing cycle begins; September 13th: due date; September 14th, next billing cycle begins

Payment is due by 11:59 pm Central Time on your due date, regardless of the number of days in the billing cycle.

Tip: A monthly billing cycle can be between 28 and 31 days, depending on the days in the month. The last day of the billing cycle is your due date and payment is due by 11:59 pm Central Time. If no payment is received by 11:59 pm Central Time on your due date, your service will be suspended.

Exceptions

There are a few exceptions to the rules above due to the short month of February and the occasional leap year.

If you activate on the 29th:

  • Your billing cycle begins on the 29th of every month.
  • Service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 28th of every month, except February.
  • In February, your billing cycle begins on the 28th and service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 27th.
  • In a leap year, your billing cycle begins on the 29th of February. Service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 28th.

If you activate on the 30th:

  • Your billing cycle begins on the 30th of every month.
  • Service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 29th of every month, except February.
  • In February, your billing cycle begins on the 28th and service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 27th.
  • In a leap year, your billing cycle begins on the 29th of February. Service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 28th.

If you activate on the 31st:

  • Your billing cycle begins on the 30th of every month.
  • Service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 29th of every month, except February.
  • In February, your billing cycle begins on the 28th and service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 27th.

In a leap year, your billing cycle begins on the 29th of February. Service is available until 11:59 pm Central Time on the 28th.

Changing Your Due Date

You can change your monthly payment due date by calling Customer Support at 1-800-CRICKET (1-800-274-2538). Your due date will also change if you miss a payment and your account is suspended for any period of time. Your new billing cycle will begin the day you pay to reactivate your service. All future billing cycles will start on the same day each month, and your due date will be the day before (see graphic above).

Due Dates for Accounts with Multiple Lines

The amount due each month for accounts with multiple lines includes the monthly plans and features for all lines on the account. This amount may vary each month due to existing account credits, charges, or fees. However, the account must be paid in full each month in order to avoid service interruptions.

Multiple people can make one-time payments in My Account, via the myCricket app, or with Quick Pay. But you cannot apply a payment toward a specific line. It's in your best interest to make sure everyone who shares your account makes timely payments so that no one has to go without service.

You can also use Auto Pay. Note that only one credit card can be used and the total amount due for the entire account will be charged to that card.
