Through this collaboration, Cricket customers will have easy access to Acorns as a pre-installed app on select Cricket phones or can download the app from their device app store, unlocking incentives to stick to their long-term money goals.
Cricket customers who sign up for a new Acorns account and invest $5 will receive a $10 investment bonus in their Acorns Invest account1, while Acorns customers who switch to Cricket Wireless will receive a $20 investment bonus. Following Acorns signup, Cricket will invest $1 into their customers’ Acorns accounts for every month their wireless service is paid.2

By rewarding responsible spending and investing, Cricket and Acorns aim to change statistics, like the report that 39% of adults are not investing for their future, according to an article published by Acorns’ partner CNBC.

The Cricket Wireless offers will be featured in the Acorns Earn section, and Acorns customers can switch or sign up for Cricket service right from their app.

This temporary government benefit – up to $50 a month ($75 for those on Tribal lands) for eligible households - takes the monthly cost of eligible wireless service to $10 or less per month during the time the EBB benefit is available.
